Dr. Timothy Houden is a physician who has dedicated his career to all manner of pain care. He is one of the original Founders of Utah Spine Care. He specializes in Neck and Back pain including pain in the shoulders, arms and legs that can be a result of spinal problems such as Sciatica, Radiculopathy, Herniated discs, Degenerated Spine and/or discs, Spinal stenosis, Spinal degeneration, Facet disease and Arthritis. He also specializes in Headaches caused by neck injury and spinal arthritis. He has been performing many variations of Spinal injections and interventions for greater than 20 years.
Dr. Houden is a National Leader in both Spinal Injections and the spectrum of Pain Management. He was one of the first to provide Radiofrequency Ablation in Utah. He is involved with Medical Research towards improving pain relief with advanced technologies.
Dr. Houden is an Advanced and Master level instructor for The International Spine Intervention Society (www.spinalinjection.org) where he is a mentor and provides education for other Physicians on how to perform SAFE and EFFECTIVE SPINAL INJECTIONS. He is a skilled clinician, educator and lecturer on all the subjects related to Spinal care.
Dr. Houden is very involved with many National Organizations interested in Quality pain management. He has been an Advisor for the Utah Medical Association, the American Pain Society and he is currently serving as the President of the Utah Academy of Pain Medicine as well as being the Medical Director of Pain Services for the entire Intermountain Healthcare Organization.
Dr. Houden is Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with a Subspecialty in Pain Management and is a Diplomate of American Academy of Pain Medicine.
Dr. Houden has been in Utah throughout his career. He has integrated himself into the Northern Utah region due to the strong Family values and to enjoy the benefits of living in a state with great outdoor activities.
